MiCAFE (Michigan’s Coordinated Access to Food for the Elderly)




Depending on your area, MiCAFE and its community centers can offer a variety of services, including:

-Assistance with Medicare and other government forms

-Prevention of utility shutoffs

-Help with phone bills

-Free Meals

-Exercise Programs

-Cultural Events


Anyone at least 60 years of age who lives in Wayne County or parts of Oakland County should call MiCAFE to see what is available and whether they meet the financial requirements, which are based on income minus medical expenses. Home visitations might be available for those who are unable to come to a center and cannot authorize someone to represent them
